These terms govern your use of Bookkeeping IQ. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read the section on tax advice in particular.
Bookkeeping IQ organizes your records and shows its working — deductibility percentages, interest tracing, capital-gain computations, and similar figures are decision support prepared for your accountant’s review. They are not tax, accounting, or legal advice, and they are not a filed tax position. Your accountant decides what is deductible and how it is reported. Nothing in the product should be relied on as a tax determination.
Bookkeeping IQ helps you keep books across multiple entities, capture receipts, reconcile against statements you upload, and produce an accountant-ready year-end package. It is not accounting software, does not connect to your bank, and does not file taxes.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter; manual entry always works, and nothing is written to your books without your confirmation.
Paid plans are billed annually in advance. Reading receipts and statements consumes a monthly allowance that resets on the first of each month; typing a transaction in yourself is always free and unlimited. Plan changes during a term are prorated for the time remaining. Over-cap top-offs are optional and also prorated. Manual entry never stops working, even over the cap.
You can cancel anytime. On cancellation, your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for; it simply doesn’t renew. Annual fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise; if something has gone wrong, get in touch — we handle requests fairly. You can export all of your data before or after cancelling.
We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but it is provided “as is,” without warranty. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
Your data belongs to you. You can export all of it at any time and request deletion. See our Privacy page for details.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada.
